Time zone converter
Pick a time in one city and see it everywhere else – handy for calls with Perth, family in the UK or a meeting with the US. Daylight saving is handled for you.
How it works
Your chosen time is turned into UTC using that city's offset on that date (including daylight saving), then shown in each other city's local time.
local time = UTC + city offsetWorked example
A call at 8 pm Tuesday 3 November 2026 in Sydney (AEDT, UTC+11) is 9 am Tuesday in London (GMT), 4 am Tuesday in New York (EST – the US left daylight saving on 1 November) and 5 pm in Perth.
Common questions
Which Australian states have daylight saving?
NSW, Victoria, the ACT, Tasmania and South Australia move their clocks forward from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April. Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia don't, which is why Brisbane is an hour behind Sydney in summer.
Why is Adelaide half an hour off?
South Australia and the Northern Territory use a time zone that's 30 minutes behind the east coast (UTC+9:30). Adelaide adds daylight saving in summer; Darwin doesn't.
Does this handle daylight saving overseas?
Yes. It uses your browser's built-in time zone database, so changes in the UK, Europe, the US and New Zealand are all accounted for on the date you pick.
What time is it in Perth when it's 9 am in Sydney?
6 am during daylight saving (October to April) and 7 am the rest of the year.
